Alaska - 2010
We had a fantastic vacation in Alaska on a Lindblad / National Geographic tour in Alaska's Inside Passage, followed by an "Extension" in Denali National Park.

We arrived in Juneau two days prior to embarking, and were very lucky to be there for Celebration 2010, a biennial -- and exuberant -- festival of Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian tribal members.

We spent seven wonderful days touring the Inside Passage on a small(ish) Lindblad / National Geographic ship, the Sea Lion, from which we took numerous Zodiac excursions, hikes, and kayak explorations.

Prior to heading home, we spent a day in Anchorage, and were particularly pleased to discover the Anchorage Museum. Not only does it have a wonderful collection of Native Alaskan art and artifacts, but it's also a stunning building -- very cool architecture & design.
